The magnet antenna works very well, but it had one fault. If you hit a tree or a bump your antenna was gone. You would usually find it under your truck if you were lucky enough not to run it over. The fixed mount antenna gets just as good of readings as the magnet but you can be 100% sure its not going anywhere!

This antenna works great! I have 2 mag mount antennas. We run hounds for bear in Michigan. Running down brushy roads, the mag mount antenna would come off the hood. Duct tape corrected this problem, but it looked like heck. I purchased the fender/dogbox mount antenna, and mounted it on the dogbox. This antenna will not come off. My hunting buddies are ordering the fender/dogbox mount units now! Would recommend this product to anyone!

It was here is 3 days. I just tested the new antenna last night and got a solid 2 miles before my collar dropped out. Very happy!
